There are over 150 free landing page templates plus a huge marketplace of paid landing page templates.  With these, you can quickly and easily create new landing pages, because all you’ll have to do is edit the text and publish. All the work has pretty much been done for you.

The templates come in two main forms: Standard and Drag-and-Drop. The Drag-and-Drop templates have more customization options than the Standard templates. 

The landing page builder has some of the best free features the industry has to offer. They are categorized according to purpose and industry, so they are easy to find. And nearly all of them are mobile-responsive, so they render well on most mobile devices.

  • When a user clicks a button or link
  • On a timer, or 
  • As your visitor is about to exit in the last effort to keep their attention

Now let’s look at a quick, step-by-step “how-to” to show you how easy it is to use Leadpages. 

How To Use Leadpages

Step 1) Start Leadpages and Click “Create New Leadpage”

You will find the Landing Pages tab within templates. All this can be found on your account’s dashboard. 

You’ll notice that you can choose between Drag & Drop or Standard. 

Step 2) Pick a template and edit 

Now let’s make a landing page using your chosen template. 

Each template has prebuilt sections. This makes it incredibly easy to modify, rearrange, add or delete any aspect to your liking.

Widgets hold all of the content on your new landing page. Each content section has its widget. In essence, this means your: 

  • Title
  • Subtitle 
  • Call to action
  • Images

These sections are held in predetermined areas. To edit, just click on that widget. 

Editing Widgets

For Drag & Drop templates can click the widgets tab on the left, then drag and drop elements onto your page for editing. These elements include:

  • Text

Editing Page Layout

To edit your page’s layout, go to the section titled, “Page Layout.”

Pro Tip

Leadpages lets you publish your website or theirs (they, however, require you to use a subdomain, for example, Store.Yourdomain.com). This puts many people off big time. Don’t do it too.

How much does Leadpages cost?

Leadpages is not cheap.  The price starts at $25/month (billed annually).  Pricing is one of the main setbacks that come with Leadpages. This is especially so because most of the high-value features are not available with their cheapest, Standard plan.

It is, however, worth the price. If you have the money, $300 doesn’t sound so bad for a tool that reduces landing page creation to a few clicks and some dragging here and there. However, when you read between the lines, you’ll quickly see the devil in the details. The Standard plan doesn’t include:

  • Unlimited A/B Testing
  • LeadDigits
  • Leadlinks
  • Sub accounts
  • Online sales and payments

If you are interested in these features, you’ll have to upgrade to either: 

  • Pro @ $48/mo, or
  • Advanced @ $199/mo

But, let’s make something very clear. The Standard plan has everything a business needs to create the best, high-converting landing pages.

This plan includes features like:

  • Unlimited landing pages
  • Unlimited alert bars
  • 200+ templates
  • unlimited pop-ups
  • Facebook and Instagram ads builder
  • Group coaching

You don’t need much else.

For instance, if you are running a small business with the Standard Plan, you can create a landing page, add a pop-up and an alert banner, and make social media ads.

Sure, you will not get most of the advanced features, but if you ask me, its already just enough to keep you happy. If you can’t afford $2400/year, you aren’t missing out on much either. 

Verdict: It is clear that Leadpages is pricey. But, if you are interested in all its juiciest features, the Standard plan has, frankly, more than enough to create high-converting landing pages. And it’s the cheapest plan Leadpages has.

Just a summary of the advantages and disadvantages of Leadpages.


Templates. Leadpages has a template for almost all functions and business niches. All you have to do is find a template to match your goals or browse through options custom made for your industry. All the hard work has already been done for you by Leadpages.

Usability. Leadpages has an intuitive widget system and a drag-and-drop editor that doesn’t get any easier to use. No experience is required to use these features. In just a few clicks, you’ll have a professional-looking landing page. 

Lots of features without complexity. Leadpages has some great features like Leadlinks, LeadDigits, alert banners, pop-ups, in-depth analytics, and social ads. Fortunately, all these features come together in a neat package that is super easy to use.

Integration. Leadpages is rich in integrations. It comes with over 40 standard integrations like Facebook ads, Google Analytics,  and live chat software.


Pricing. Leadpages doesn’t come cheap. It will set you back a minimum of $300/year without the advanced features. On the bright side, it gets you the value for money that so many other platforms don’t. 

Wonky drag-and-drop editor. This is one of the flaws I had mentioned earlier.  The editor’s widget boundaries are a bit off and sometimes, an element snaps into the wrong place or it does not end up where you want it to go. You can also delete elements wherever you’d like but then, you just end up with awkward spaces that are near-impossible to fill in. 

Standard templates aren’t customizable. You are better off using the Drag and Drop templates if you want something customizable. You cannot edit standard templates even though Leadpages claims otherwise.  

Final Thoughts

Leadpages is the best landing page builder. Fact! And this makes it 100% worth it despite the price. It has one of the best landing page templates that will help you create high converting landing page designs.
